Big Sam thinks he's all that!

Sorry it’s been a few days since we last updated!

As speculation mounts about where Sven is off to next, every top manager is being linked with the same job, and the FA are continuing their search for his replacement.

Every day now, there seems to be somewhat random people giving their views on who is right, or who is wrong for the top job in English Football (hey, we know we’re sort of doing that as well!). Over the last few days, Les Reed has stated that he thinks Alan Curbishley has proved he has the skills necessary, and has proved that he can be a serious contender for this job, all done with a relatively small and inexperienced team at Charlton. His name is rightly, in our view, being thrown about for this job with some of the biggest names in football. Curbs himself is a little worried about this, and the fact that he does not want all of this press speculation to distract him or his team from the job they have to do.

Elsewhere, Fabio Capello has finally admitted his lifelong dream is to manage the England team, and will be ending his club coaching days in the next 3 years to (he hopes) realise his dream, let’s just hope if he does get it, he doesn’t come across Arsenal too often!

Peter Taylor has reportedly met the FA this week, but has also indicated that he doesn’t think he’ll be offered it. Of his meeting, Taylor remarked something along the lines of yes, I have met them about the role, but Alan Curbishleys meeting was for the role. A subtle, but all telling indication….?

Finally for now, Guus Hiddink has said nothing new, and Sam Allardyce has come out with a very humble comment…’I don’t think there is another manager in this country who has achieved as much as I have.’ We leave with a question burning in our minds – if Sam is the best manager in the country, then how come James Blunt is such a success?

We've also found this offer, which is only about for a couple of days so get in there quick, it's a really good offer, with no catches, we've signed ourselves up, get your Maxim ordered, make sure you click on the banner below to get the offer!
